Local Server and Joomla!:
The installation of WAMP server and Joomla! on your computer is presented. A new version is presented in http://www.wampserver.com/en/ the installation does not differ. You can install the local server the same way as it is shown in the video.
IMPORTANT:
If the installation of WAMPSERVER failed the possible cause is Skype. One of the options is set wrong. Open Skype and than click consecutively Tools>>Options>>Advanced>>Connections. If the option "use port 80 and 443 as alternatives ..." is checked this is the case. Uncheck and press Save. Now install WAMPSERVER.
the joomla.sql file found in the \installation\sql\mysql directory.
For Joomla installation use version 1.5.23 and later. If installing Joomla 1.5.22 you have to replace all instances of TYPE=MyISAM with ENGINE=MyISAM in the joomla.sql file found in the \installation\sql\mysql directory.
